The Brute Squad were three outlaws who were hired by Prince Humperdinck to kidnap Buttercup. When the Man in Black came to Buttercup's rescue, each member of the squad battled, and lost to the Man in Black. Inigo lost to the Man in Black in a fencing battle, Fezzik lost to the Man in Black in a wrestling battle, and Vizzini died in a battle of wits with the Man in Black.
