This t-shirt shows Gremlins, the reptilian monsters that you get when you don't follow the rules for caring for a mogwai. In Gremlins, there were three rules for caring for a mogwai: No bright light, don't get them wet, and never feed them after midnight. Billy Peltzer was given a mogwai that he named Gizmo. A glass of water was spilled on Gizmo, which spawned more mogwais. When those mogwais were fed after midnight, they made cocoons, which hatched the green monsters seen on this shirt.
