This Real Ghostbusters features the license plate for the Ecto-1. This is the vehicle the Ghostbusters use to capture and exterminate paranormal entities. The Ecto-1 was an ambulance/hearse combination that Dr. Ray Stantz found shortly after he mortgaged his mother's house to buy the Firehouse. Because of his mechanical skills, he was able to repair the vehicle, which he acquired for $4,800. In the Real Ghostbusters animated series, the Ecto-1 was modified with the Di-Variable Universal, the Ecto-Scope, Psycho-dampers, and a hydraulic bumper.
