Jawas travel through Tatooine in sandcrawlers in search of junk to fix up and sell. The Jawas will usually use their cobbled-together weaponry to incapacitate droids, then sell their hastily refurbished droids to moisture farmers who are hard-pressed to find a better selection elsewhere.
