In the 1975 movie Jaws, Quint, Matt Hooper, and Martin Brody set out on Quint's boat, the Orca to capture a man-eating great white shark. The shark attacked the boat, and as the Orca slowly sank, the trio attempted a riskier approach. Hooper put on scuba gear and entered the water in a shark-proof cage, intending to lethally inject the shark with strychnine, using a hypodermic spear.
