DC Comic Book ‘Lucifer’ gets its own TV Show

by on Sep 18, 2014

Fox is going heavy on the comic book genre. After Gotham (which is just 4 days away from hitting our TVs) Fox just announced that they ordered a pilot episode for ‘Lucifer’, another DC epic comic book.

The comic book centers around Lucifer who gets bored of ruling the underworld, resigns his throne and abandons his kingdom for the gorgeous, shimmering insanity of Los Angeles, where he opens an exclusive piano bar called Lux.

The one hour pilot will be written by Tom Kapinos (best known for Californication) and co-produced by Warner Bros. TV, DC Entertainment and Aggressive Mediocrity. I’m having high hopes for this show, specially now with Tom Kapinos on board. I enjoyed Californication and I’ll probably enjoy Lucifer as well.

Warner Bros. TV also produces Arrow, The Flash and Gotham so it’s safe to assume this fall belongs to DC and its comic book TV adaptations.
