Pokemon X and Y were released on October 12 and are the first installments in the sixth generation of the Pokemon series of role playing games. In the first week after their release they sold over 4 million copies making them the fastest selling games on the Nintendo 3DS. With the release of the latest installments the Pokemon database has increased to 700 Pokemons. Yeah, you read that right, 700 Pokemons. This means that if you catch 5 different Pokemons per day you’ll be able to play the games for over 4 months and still not have all the Pokemons. And on top of that you’ll be able to see them in 3D now!
The Pokemon series takes a step forward energizing the classic gameplay formula with new and interesting twists and tweaks, like mega evolutions. It’s a must-have for Nintendo 3DS owners. If you’re like me and think you’ve outgrew Pokemon you got to try it. I haven’t played a Pokemon game since the forth installment, Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. I skipped on every other Pokemon games after that thinking I’m too old for this now. But I was wrong, very wrong! Pokemon is one of those games that just doesn’t get old, it doesn’t matter how many installments it has. Playing X reminded me what it was like to work my way up to the top all over again, something I haven’t experienced since the Johto remakes.
All in all Pokemon X and Y are great games and everyone should give them a chance even if they think they’re children games. And a best Pokemon trainer always wears a Pokemon T-Shirt, that’s why I made a fine selection of Pokemon Tees just for you guys. Have fun!
