What Game of Thrones House Are You In?

by on Apr 01, 2017

[Warning: spoilers ahead!]

Brace yourselves: the new season of Game of Thrones is coming.

Which leaves us wondering…George, where’s our next book?

If you’re a crazy Thrones fan like me, you can’t wait for some new content to devour. When that season airs, I’m going to pop popcorn, make House Stark themed cupcakes, and settle into a blissful Westerosi coma. I’m House Stark all the way. Jon and Sansa better bring their A-Game this season. That throne is Jon’s, and ain’t nobody gonna tell me otherwise!

Who do you want to see sitting on the Iron Throne at the end of Season 7? Jon or Sansa, like me? Danaerys? Tyrion? Cersei? Littlefinger? What about Yara, our badass queen of salt and stone? Show your love for your candidate by picking out a Game of Thrones t-shirt. Westeros needs you!

“Winter is Coming”

We’ve still got four Starks in the running for the Iron Throne. Jon and Sansa have taken Winterfell back for House Stark (it felt so good when that banner unfurled, am I right?), Arya’s on her way to join them, and Bran’s doing…something useful, we’re sure.

Danaerys is finally, finally on her way to conquer Westeros. HBO has told us that her dragons are going to be much bigger in Season 7 – the size of 747 planes, to be exact. She’s teamed up with Tyrion, the Spider, and Yara and Theon Greyjoy. She’s got her army, she’s got her dragons, and she’s got her ships. Now, nothing can stop her from taking what’s rightfully hers…except the army of the dead, maybe.

While, ultimately, I’m rooting for Jon and Sansa, who’s to say Danaerys won’t team up with the Starks to take the Iron Throne and fight against the Night’s King? I can’t wait to see what Season 7 has in store for the Mother of Dragons. Whatever comes, it’s going to be awesome.

“Here Me Roar”

Cersei and Jaime had a wild season 6. Cersei currently holds the Iron Throne, but if that look on Jaime’s face is any indication, he doesn’t seem too happy about it. Tommen’s jumped out a window, Myrcella’s been poisoned, and Joffrey’s dead (thank the Seven!). Tyrion’s on Danaery’s side, and Tywin is dead. We’ll see whether or not Cersei holds on to the Iron Throne. She’s got Danaerys to contend with, after all, and the Valonqar prophecy has just two more boxes left to tick until its fulfilled…

“Growing Strong”

Margaery might be dead, but the Queen of Thorns isn’t, and she’s sure as hell salty about the destruction of her house. House Tyrell could come out of left field this season. They probably don’t have a chance of sitting the Iron Throne, but Olenna will be damned if she doesn’t take a couple other contenders down with her.

“But House Baratheon is dead!”

Not so fast.

Gendry’s still alive and kicking, somewhere. Technically, he could make an appearance in this season and represent House Baratheon. It’s a long shot, but House Baratheon isn’t out of the game yet!

“Here We Stand”

Let’s be honest: if Lyanna Mormont had three dragons this show would have been over six seasons ago. If anyone is tenacious enough to sit the Iron Throne and hold it, Lyanna Mormont is! This little girl has more ferocity in her little finger than half the knights in Westeros combined.

House Greyjoy

“We Do Not Sow”

Shit is going down in the Iron Islands. Yara and Theon have escaped their crazy uncle and joined up with Danaerys. Euron Greyjoy, last we saw him, was still stuck on his rocky set of islands, shouting at his men to build a new fleet. Good luck, buddy.

“Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken”

It’s no secret that Dorne has been the redheaded stepchild of the series for a while. However, with the Spider working out a treaty with Ellaria Sand, House Martell might be technically extinct, but Dorne has chosen to throw their lot in with Danaerys. It’s a smart move, and it may ensure House Martell’s survival.

House Baelish

“Chaos Is a Ladder”

Not many would choose to support Peter Baelish. Littlefinger’s a sleaze. He’s obsessed with Sansa, and he’s definitely plotting a way to get Jon out of the way in Season 7. We’re hoping he won’t succeed, but then, with this show, you never know. Littlefinger is a pro at playing the game. He just might come out on top.
