Yesterday I got a chance to play Bungies new game Destiny, now in Beta. I heard about it but I wasn’t expecting too much from it honestly. Do I need to tell you guys that I spent the whole night playing Destiny in multiplayer? I got so hooked up in this game that I just couldn’t let go of my controller. After every match in The Crucible I was close to a milestone, either leveling up my character or finding a new rifle or just feeling I’ll do better in the next round.
But first let me tell you about the game’s storyline. The action is set in the remote future and players take the role of the Guardians of the last city on Earth. You battle humanity’s enemies in the ancient ruins of our solar system from the red dunes of Mars to the exotic jungles of Venus.
Destiny will be huge and I mean that in both the sense that it will be a big game with big maps and huge single-player and multiplayer content and in the sense that it’ll be immensely popular. Think of Destiny like a combination of the action packed Halo with the addictive loot-gathering of Diablo and MMORPG elements of World of Warcraft.
There’s no mistake that the Halo heritage make Destiny more appealing but in my opinion the game will become popular thanks to the clever integration of MMO staples. Stick close for more news and Destiny T-Shirts. I only gathered 10 so far but the game is only in Beta for now. More Destiny T-Shirts will surely appear soon.
